Florida Program for Shark Research

Florida Program for Shark Research is located at the University of Florida's Museum of Natural History. They are a leader in both domestic and international elasmobranch (class of fish that is comprised of sharks, skates and rays) conservation. FPSR also does extensive research in a number of shark related fields including shark biology, ecology and behavior. The FPSR is best known for monitoring shark attacks through the International Shark Attack File in an attempt to better understand shark/human interactions. This is a unique organization dedicated to scientific research, public outreach and the general education of our natural resources.
